SKF standard high precision angular contact ball bearings are non-separable, having one reduced height flange on outer ring, in order to allow the introduction of a large number of balls, using a one-piece cage and an optimized internal design.
The bearings are manufactured according to 719, 70 and 72 series, with a choice of two different contact angles:
15 degrees (CD): the lower contact angle allows it to withstand higher radial loads and to reach higher rotational speed.
In spindle applications they are usually fitted on the rear side of the shaft to drive it.
25 degrees (ACD): this contact angle value increases the possibility to carry axial loads keeping a fairly good rotational speed capacity.
In spindle applications they are usually fitted on the front side of the shaft to support the biggest portion of the working loads.
Standard high precision angular contact ball bearings, thanks to its internal geometry, carefully designed, represent the best solution in terms of load carrying capacity, rigidity and speed.
