„Locking“ and „Lifting“ are the major properties of the Bloc-O-Lift gas spring. The piston of the Bloc-O-Lift contains a valve which provides a gas-tight seal separating the chambers to the left and right at the piston. If the valve is opened because the tappet is activated, the Bloc-O-Lift will operate like a Lift-O-Mat. As soon as the actuator pin is released from the outside, the valve pin will close and the piston rod is then locked as now the gas exchange between pressurechambers is interrupted.
